My name is Sarah Gummow and I will be your child's 6th Grade Science teacher at Sonoran Foothills this year! I graduated from Arizona State University, West Campus with my Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education and Special Education. I am beginning my sixteenth year with Deer Valley Unified School District and my twelfth year teaching sixth grade math.
I am a true native to Arizona, where I was born and raised. The thunder and lightning storms are my favorite, to sit and watch! However, every summer when its 115 degrees, I ask myself why I still live here, but it is home. My parents, along with my younger sister, Rachel, all still live close by.
My husband, Justin, and I have two children, Paxton (5) and Everly (4), and a fur baby (dog) Little Bear.
I am loyal to my state with my favorite sports teams being the Cardinals and Diamondbacks. I love brightly colored things and I collect Gumball-themed items for my classroom. I love to read mysteries, ride roller coasters, cook, craft, and spend time with family and friends.
I am looking forward to a great year in 6th grade!
