Welcome to Ms. Chambers' Second Grade Class!
Hello Sonoran Foothills Families!
My name is Kelsey Chambers, and I am absolutely delighted to be your child's second-grade teacher. I believe that every child has unique talents and a boundless capacity for learning, and I am committed to creating a nurturing, engaging, and comfortable classroom environment where all students can thrive.
I have 3 years of experience teaching K-8 as a highly qualified paraeducator and I just finished my student teaching in DVUSD at the end of the last school year. I have earned the Degree of Associate of Arts Conferred with Honors and completed the certificates of Arizona General Education Curriculum and Athletic Coaching through Yavapai College in Prescott, Arizona where I grew up. I have also earned the Degree of Bachelor of Arts in Elementary Education from Western Governors University and I feel honored Sonoran Foothills has made me a part of the Bobcat family.
When I'm not in the classroom, you can often find me spending time with my family. My ten year old daughter and I love to swim and I also really like running, hiking, and racquet sports.
