Aloha and welcome to First Grade at Sonoran Foothills!
As we kick off a new school year, I’m delighted to extend a warm welcome to all of our First Grade families. I’m truly excited to get to know my students and support them as they learn, grow, and make new discoveries throughout the year.

I’ve been teaching First Grade since 2005, and it remains an incredibly joyful and rewarding experience. My teaching career began in Southern California, and after moving to Arizona, I joined the Deer Valley Unified School District in 2014. I’m proud to have been part of the founding staff when Sonoran Foothills opened in 2015.  Go Bobcats!  First Grade is my passion because I believe it’s an important and exciting year in every child’s educational journey.

When I’m not in the classroom, I enjoy spending quality time with my family, staying active, traveling, and reading. My husband and I are proud parents of two GCU college graduates who currently serve in the United States Air Force. We also share our home with our sweet dog Kila, who has quickly become the heart of our family.

I’m looking forward to a fantastic year of learning and growing together!
