2025-2026 Sonoran Foothills Athletics

 

Parents/Guardians/Student Athletes,

 

Welcome to the 2025-2026 Sonoran Foothills Athletic Season! Below you will find a schedule of important dates for each sporting season. At this time, there is no further information regarding cross country, however, we will get that out to you as soon as it is available. In order for a student athlete to participate in tryouts, all required registration materials MUST be completed and submitted to Register My Athlete, NO LATER THAN the Wednesday prior to tryouts. Paper copies will NOT be accepted. Any student who does not have these materials completed, will unfortunately be unable to participate in tryouts. Meet the Coaches Night:

All sports Thursday 8/7/25

4:30-5:30 In the Tech lab

Season 1 (Fall): Baseball/Softball

Tryouts: August 11-15th 

       Parent meeting: August 21st 5pm in the Tech Lab 

     Regular Season September 9th -October 21st 

District Playoffs October 27/29

District Championship: November 1st 

Cross Country (5th-8th Grades)

Parent meeting: September18th 5pm in the Tech Lab

Regular Season: September 22nd 

Meets: October 22-December 5th (Actual dates) TBD

District Championship: December 8th -12th 

Season 2 (Winter): Volleyball

Tryouts: November 10th -November 14th 

Parent Meeting: November 20th 5PM in the Tech Lab

Regular Season: December 9th -February 5th

Season 3 (Spring): Basketball

Tryouts: February 23-27th 

Parent Meeting: March 5th 5pm In the Tech Lab 

Regular Season: March 24th-April 23rd

*Games 4/13-4/28 (Girls play first)

District Playoffs: April 28/30

District Championship: Saturday May 2nd

Please read ALL REQUIREMENTS below.  Student athletes will not be able to participate if they have not met all the requirements. 
 

 REGISTER MY ATHLETE

Before an athlete can participate in any way (including tryouts) they must have all paperwork completed and on file. DVUSD uses the Register My Athlete (RMA) website to submit all physicals and other required paperwork prior to athletic participation. RMA will also include a link to a required Brainbook Concussion Course that each athlete must complete.  When registering for the course in Brainbook, select the high school your athlete will most likely attend in 9th grade.  Also remember to electronically save the course completion form showing successful completion of the course as you will need to upload this form in RMA. No forms will be accepted in person. Please follow the link below.

Parents are responsible for the transportation of their student athlete(s)

to and from all away competitions.

 

 

Participation Fees

(Only required if the student athlete makes the team)

7th/8th Grade Athlete: $120 per sport

$240 maximum per Athlete

$500 maximum per family/household

 

  • Athletic fees are non-refundable.

 

  • The DVUSD athletic fees do not guarantee playing time in competition.

Adults: $4.00 Seniors: $2.00   Veterans: $2.00
Family Pass (10 Admission Punches): $30.00
All DVUSD Students (with school I.D.): Free
